Common challenges for busy entrepreneurs like you.
Our service
Because we know the rules inside out, reverse-charged VAT is no challenge for us. But for busy entrepreneurs it can carry real risks. No worries, Sophy &Co. has your back.
Who chooses Sophy &Co.?
Anyone who'd rather keep their hands on the wheel than on paperwork. Whether you transport people or goods, we take the load off your hands and make sure your tax situation is optimized.
Free Taxi Tax Scan: Are you paying too much?
Do you drive as a self-employed driver but feel like too much money goes to the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst) every month? Many drivers leave money on the table because they don't know all the deductions available, or their books aren't set up optimally.
Sophy & Co. takes a free 15-minute look with you.
What do we check for you?
- Fuel & costs: Are you getting back all the VAT on your diesel, petrol or charging sessions?
- Uber & Bolt: Is the foreign VAT on your rides and commissions being processed correctly?
- Company car: Is your addition to income (bijtelling) correct, or could you be better off switching schemes?
- Investment benefit: Are you eligible for extra relief (MIA/KIA) on your (electric) taxi?
The result:
Within a quarter of an hour you'll know whether your books are in order and whether you could be saving extra money somewhere. No obligations, just honest advice from a specialist who knows the road.
"You focus on the road, we make sure you keep more at the end of the ride."
Everything you need to know about our service
For passenger transport in the Netherlands you usually charge 9% VAT. Driving for Uber or Bolt? Then you'll also deal with reverse-charged VAT from abroad on their commission. Sophy & Co. makes sure these different flows end up correctly in your return, so you never pay more than you should.
Vehicle maintenance: Repairs, tyres and the car wash.
Business smartphone: Your plan and the phone you use for your rides.
Cleaning: Costs for keeping your vehicle clean.
Phone holder & chargers: Any accessories you need for your work.
Insurance & memberships: Your taxi insurance and contributions to industry associations.
If you also use the taxi privately, you need to keep an airtight trip record for the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst). We recommend using the data from your Boordcomputer Taxi (BCT). Sophy & Co. checks that this data meets the requirements, so you avoid discussions with the tax authorities.
Yes! If you invest in an (electric) car or new equipment, you can often make use of the KIA (small-scale investment deduction). For electric taxis, the MIA (environmental investment deduction) is often available on top of that. We calculate exactly how many thousands of euros in benefit this brings you.
Very simple: through our app. Filling up? Take a photo of the receipt. Get an invoice by email? Forward it to us. We match everything against your bank statements. You'll never need a shoebox full of receipts again.
